Camping at Vail Lake K
Driving into the campground is awesome. There is a lot of options for fun things to do. We stopped a few times to grab some stuff from their store. They have a pretty large facility. This place has mini golf, games, kids crafts, bar, and more. The best part for our family though is the massive trail system they offer along with the mini pump track, little kids pump track, and the big pump track. This is a cyclist's dream. We will for sure stay out there next year! Booking ahead seems to be the ticket in, as we tried to get a spot a few times for the race series and they were booked! We will plan better for the next kinda 2026, because this place looks like a blast. Some of the camping spots had nice fire pits and nice chairs too! So fun!!
Play at Kenda
Our kids rode their bikes from sun up to sun down during the Kenda race series. Back and forward on the frontage road there, around the pump tracks, through the tunnel and through the other side. They never stopped unless they got hungry. We usually get there super early and park near the tunnel so the kids can use the mini pump track for riding, rc cars, and monster truck jumps. This just worked out so well for our family. Plus its got a concrete table there under a tree and it's just a few steps from the restrooms!
Eat at Kenda
This year they had a BBQ guy set up his massive grill and he cooked up lots of meat. For the boys it was great they got some good BBQ. But for me (the vegetarian) I didn't have an option there unless I wanted a giant pickle or a bag of chips. So I got used to packing big for this race. Breakfast for when we got there, lunch for while daddy was racing, and a hefty snack for when Kevin was off the course and needed something before we left. Our regular cooler prep consisted of: lots of water as it gets so hot up there, oats over night, boiled eggs, fruit tray, pasta salad, snackle box, juice boxes, and more. This way it kept everyone happy while we cheered on the riders!
Such a great race series!

Bathrooms
The bathroom situation was more than decent. They have trailer restrooms brought in and they are clean and stocked with soap and toilet paper. They are so convenient! So grateful for races that offer such clean and fresh facilities.
